Eden Association, a non profit association, was established in 1997 by educators and social activists. The Association aims to promote educational and social projects in the northern Negev, Israel’s southern region. Although rich in its variety of human resources and diverse population groups, the Negev lacks financial resources and means for development. The region is home to Jewish and Arabs, religious and non-religious, new immigrants and veterans. The differences between the populations are so eminent that sometimes they provoke tension, alienation and conflict. The association strives to promote the mutual acquaintanceship and create relationships that are based on mutual respect and acceptance. The association provides unique and innovative educational and therapeutic frameworks for the benefit of women, special needs populations, youth at risk and children.
